What should I wear to a pole dance fitness class or private lesson?

We recommend wearing comfortable form-fitting shorts, and a vest or t-shirt. For your first class you can wear leggings but you will find it easier in shorts as we use our bare skin to grip the pole. We do the classes barefoot or with socks on. You can also wear heels so long as they are designed for pole dancing (brands such as Pleaser or Ellie).

What should I not wear?

Please do not wear jewellery (especially rings) as doing so could cause you an injury and also scratch the poles. If you can't remove your rings, you can cover them with tape. You can keep watches (e.g. Fitbits, Apple watches) on if you cover with a sweatband. Also please do not have any lotion, moisturiser, oils, fake tans etc on your body or hands as these will make your pole slippery which could be dangerous for you and anyone sharing the pole.

What should I bring?

Please bring a bottle of water with you. You may also want to bring a cloth, socks, kneepads and/or leg warmers (but these aren't essential).
