academy of pole has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, academy of pole cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. You are also personally responsible to yourself and others for reducing the spread of COVID-19.
Please wear a face covering over your mouth & nose (unless exempt as per Government guidance) at all times when inside Rugby College. You may remove the face covering when inside the Dance Studio as it is not recommended to wear a face covering whilst exercising.
Before you enter the Dance Studio, please wash your hands with soap & water for a minimum of 20 seconds using the toilet facilities outside the Dance Studio (Tip: sing Happy Birthday twice whilst doing so!).
We ask that you please bring your own hand sanitizer so that once you have removed your mask you can sanitize your hands and also during the class. Make sure it does not have any moisturisers in it. We will also have hand sanitizer but it is recommended to bring your own.
Our equipment (e.g. poles & mats) will be deep cleaned and disinfected before classes. The Dance Studio is cleaned by Rugby College.
We now have a minimum 10 minute break between classes to allow for additional cleaning between classes and also for social distancing between those leaving class and those arriving to class. Please arrive on time for your class and no more than five minutes early if there is another class before yours. Once your class has ended, please leave the Dance Studio as soon as possible to avoid/minimise passing those coming to the next class.
Cleaning products and clean cloths (washed at a high temperature and rinsed with disinfectant) will be provided for cleaning the pole and mats/floor if touched between turns when sharing. All five poles will be set up for every class to minimise sharing. If you do need to share, if possible, please share with the same person each time you both attend.
At all times while in the Dance Studio and Rugby College, please try to maintain a two metre social distance. Spotting will be kept to a minimum but may still be required especially if there is an immediate risk to life. The middle pole will be the instructor pole only to allow for extra demonstrations because of minimal spotting and to allow for more space for social distancing.
For Flexibility classes, please bring your own yoga mat.
Please bring only the necessary personal belongings to class. Please do not share your belongings (e.g. water, grip aid etc) or ask another person in class to use your phone to take a photo or video of you. You can still take photos/videos but it's safest if someone takes them on their phone and then sends them to you.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have tested positive, or you/your household/bubble has been in contact with anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive, please cancel your booking on Gymcatch and let us know as soon as possible. Normal cancellation rules apply. You will not be able to attend classes for two weeks or until you have had a negative test result. In this event, your details may be provided to the Government for contact tracing.
